“Purim is celebrated only once a year / Some people celebrate it 24/7,” sings Ayal Mazaki (in Hebrew) at the start of his debut single “Busy Hiding.” The song itself is a master of disguise. On the one hand, it sounds like your standard Mizrahi-style pop ballad, boasting a catchy tune and performed by a singer with a delicate voice.
