A second Trump administration stands likely to rescind Biden-era protections for transgender care in federally funded health programs, effectively quashing existing efforts to defend the regulations in federal courts.
The final rule from the US Department of Health and Human Services, which has been under a nationwide stay since July, is among President Joe Biden’s health priorities that conservative legal analysts expect President-elect Donald Trump’s Justice Department to stop defending in court.
